Hi, I’m Josh Humble. This project started as a way to express my growing thoughts on life, zen, and my great appreciation for nature, monochrome photography, and the beauty that is abundant all around us. It’s a study of light, shape and composition. A life journey throughout The Midwest Landscape.
As a photographer and designer, I’ve always loved minimalism, lines, contrast, and light. So as I’ve traveled for work and pleasure over the past couple years, I’ve used both my phone and big cameras to produce this series. When I’m not shooting landscapes, I shoot street photography, compose as a pianist and electronica music maker, and I photograph headshots and architecture for a living. Hope you enjoy, and join me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook as this project grows. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
The negative is comparable to the composer’s score and the print to its performance. Each performance differs in subtle ways.
